How can I enter?

  • ONLINE – You can enter ONLINE through our secure Online Entry System.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Under the terms and conditions of entry, a 20% administration fee will be deducted if notified before 1 January 2023, a 50% administration fee will be deducted if notified between 1 January 2023 and 28 February 2023, after 28 February no refunds will be given.

What happens if I don’t finish a stage?

Although we run the event like a tour you are not eliminated if you are unable to finish one of the stages. You are able to start again at the next stage, however you will no longer have an overall time for the event nor will you be able to be placed in your age group.

I want to bring my own supporter with me, can I?

Yes we welcome supporters on the tour. As the event is run on open public roads support vehicles must not follow any cyclist.

What is in my race pack and when will I get it?

Your race pack will include your number bib, safety pins and timing transponder and Sponsors product. You will receive your race kit at registration. Race kits will not be sent in the mail under any circumstances.

How do I check my daily race results?

Results are all available online each evening with updates posted on Facebook. We encourage participants and supporters to follow us on Facebook and upload photos and status updates throughout the event.

Will there be any Drink Stations out on the course?

There will be one drink station available to replenish your drink bottle on Stages 1 & 3 only.

Will there be a Massage service available on the Tour?

Dynamo events are proud to announce that Samantha and the team from ST Massage will be providing recovery massage for our 2023 Tour.

Please note! The massage team will be set up in Russell after day 1 this year to make sure you get the best results from your recovery massage.

This is a cash service only and first come first served. Please email Samantha if you would like to prepay for a massage or series of massages for the week or if you have any questions regarding your recovery massage or our services at info@stmassage.nz 

What happens if I have any mechanical problems during the event?

My Ride Whangarei will be on hand throughout the event to assist with any mechanical problems. Mechanics will be on course and available to all riders before and after stages. Equipment and some supplies may be purchased.

Will there be first aid out on the course?

Yes, EMT Ambulance will be providing the medical cover for the BDO Northland cycle tour again in 2023.
Their medics are all fully trained and experienced in front line emergency work, and are there to assist you with any medical issues before, during or after each stage.
The First Response vehicles have everything on board from strapping tape and plasters to pain relief, oxygen and a Defibrillator.

They will have 2 medics traveling with the tour so if you see them on the road and need anything just wave out and they will pull over and assist in any way they can.
As for any medical event, if you come across an incident please call 111 in the first instance and then make contact with the race officials who will contact them via phone or radio.

How can I connect with other riders before the event?

Our event listing on Facebook is an ideal place to look for a group to share transport costs with or other requirements. Please feel free to communicate with other riders through this tool.
