Covid-19 Policy

Covid-19 Vaccine policy update

We have undertaken and extensive review of our Health & Safety Policy for our events, which includes protecting against the risk that Covid19 poses to all of the competitors and spectators attending these events. Given the nature of our events, we have people from diverse locations meeting up and often being close together, we have an obligation to protect these people, and our staff. Physical distancing, masks, sanitising etc are obviously part of this, together with vaccinations.

We’re expecting the government to confirm in the next few weeks what industries must require vaccines, indications recently suggest that this would include things like summer festivals and events.

Dynamo Events anticipates that when the Ministry of Health introduces vaccine passports in late 2021, that the Ministry will require all competitors at public athletic events of this scale to be fully vaccinated. We therefore have taken that info on board and will be mandating this immediately that if you intend to enter any future Dynamo events, that you ensure you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or hold a valid medical exemption.

Please NOTE: Vaccine Passports will only be required if mandated by the Ministry of Heath for the 2023 event. Current Rules do not require this.

Covid-19 Refund policy

While we are very confident that the event will be able to go ahead in the new traffic light system in 2022 for vaccinated riders we just want to be clear on the refund policy if the event for some reason was cancelled because of Covid-19.

If the event is cancelled more than 72 Hours before the start of Day 1 you will be entitled to a 50% refund or a carry over credit to the 2023 event to the value of  90% of your entry.

If the event has to be cancelled within 72 hours of the start NO refunds will be available.
